I often get asked, “how often do I get a puncture?”. It varies depending on the time of year, what bike I’m riding and what tyres are on it. I’ve never actually counted, but would guess 5 or 6 a year, so I thought it would be interesting to keep a note of how many I pick up throughout the year.

For info I’m running Vittoria Rubino Pro 3 on my winter bike,
Continental Grand Sport on the summer bike and Schwalbe Winters on the mountain bike.

2019 Log

17th June 2019

The first puncture of 2019 has happened to me ๐Ÿ™

Flat tyre in the office when retrieving my bike (see Mounting Maintenance). 3,750 miles into the year so I suppose it had to happen eventually.

Tyre was a Continental Grand Sport and had done 1,350 miles – not amazing.

Puncture!
