Records are there to be broken. Although I will never threaten to break anything significant on a world scale, it is always good to keep track of your own personal achievements. Looking back at August I have achieved my highest ever monthly mileage on the bike.ย
I’m not entirely sure how that happened as we didn’t exactly have spectacular weather. However, a full month of commuting (some small extensions) with the addition of a few weekend rides meant that I finished August with 983 miles recorded.
It was so tempting to make it up to 1,000 on the final Sat of the month, but I ended up being really busy and the weather was wet and windy most of the day (call me weak!). Oh well, it just means I have a monthly 1,000 to aim for in another month… ๐

It has been a very cheap month on the bike after a couple of expensive ones. I only had one expense which was to fix the rear wheel hub on my spare Vitus bike. This was non-essential but I wanted to get it ready for using over the next few months.
